Demolition on the Kitchen and Sun Room

These are some photos of the demolition that was done on the kitchen. The last photo may look pretty good, but it is actually the before picture. The appliances are pretty old and the cabinetry is not our style. It is really not a good use of the space and especially for how large the house is. We've decided to raise the ceiling and take out the window that you see in the last photo and replace it with a pantry. Old houses lack storage space and closets. We will probably be adding antique french doors in between the brick structures that are separating the kitchen from the sun room. We are not sure whether or not we will be exposing the wood beam ceiling in the kitchen. It might not be right for this type of house, but we are playing around with a few ideas. The floor will be replaced with whatever wood Steve can find.  Most likely the wood will be taking out of a project on the Southside that Guardian Construction will soon be working on. The floor will be continuous throughout the kitchen, sun room, and my studio space. All the floors need refinished in the entire house, so this should be quite a project. The sun room was also demoed. The carpet has been ripped out and the drop ceiling was removed (exposing the wood beams) Material to be later determined. Most likely Oak. The sun room will hopefully open up into a newly structured porch (minus the hot tube with goldfish)
